Find the best web design ideas here

web design-2In web design balance is everything. If you know what your client wants and if you know how to execute it best this is half of the job done for you already. It is important to understand that when the client comes and asks for a website very often they have a clear vision of what they want but often this does not get reflected in the guidelines. That is why you need to be a little like an investigator here and find out as much info as possible about the people you will be designing for. That is why you have to write down as many questions as possible and make sure you are getting the job done the best way you can.

Making the most of all the opportunities to get more details out of the client is the way to go. Ask them – do you like this image? Do you like this font/ what atmosphere do you want to convey? And so on and so forth. The more intelligently they answer the better the site will be at the end of the road and they will be able to enjoy it much more. There are plenty of opportunities for you out there to make them easier to talk to if you look at their inspirations books and let them vent about their tastes and what they want to see. This is a great foundation for all cooperation because otherwise it will be very difficult for you to know what to do if their descriptions and requirements are too vague.

Learning more about the latest trends is also important but you should discuss every decision with the client as they are the need point for you and you always need to consult them before making the most important decisions about the website. Something fancy and in vogue can be out of place at a corporate website so everything should be discussed beforehand and you should always make it work as much as possible. Being open since the beginning for the project is a must because you don’t want to make many changes to the product once you have already done work on it so make the most of the time that you have with the client and be as open to them about it.

If the client has questionable tastes it is sometimes important to put your foot down and say – who is the designer here? But be calm and firm and make sure they understand you are an authority and have a word in design which is reflected in your portfolio that you should always try to extend. And some words about your portfolio: actually, you should know that firsts you work for your portfolio and then if your portfolio works for you. It is simple because when you can show your greatest works to a large audience (provided that previous clients are not against) you have better chances to get new clients and work on the conditions that you install. But unfortunately a lot of new web design companies just ignore this golden rule and lack clients after all.
